In the past, only in the hospitals or epidemic stations, can smell a disinfectant water taste. Today, disinfectants are almost an essential commodity in people's lives. Disinfectants make our lives safer, but if we use it improperly, it can cause dangerous. 


There are a few tips about disinfectants:

Q1: The difference between disinfection and sterilization.


A: Disinfection and sterilization are often used in life, but these two meanings are different. Disinfection kills microorganisms, but does not kill spores. Sterilization kills all microorganisms including spores. so, sterilization is stricter than  disinfection, usually used in the food industry and medical field, it is difficult to achieve in life, so we usually need only disinfection, it will reduce the number of pathogenic microorganism to protect our healthy. 


Q2: when is a disinfectant needed? 


A: After we get down from the crowded public transports, such as bus, subway, especially just come back from the hospital, might as well use clothes disinfectant to wash clothes. 

Often get outdoor items such as children's toys, camping equipment, etc. also need to be wiped with disinfectant.

The washing machine is cleaned once every 2~3 months with professional disinfectant. 


Q3: Is 84 disinfectant a universal disinfectant? 


A: Some people use 84 disinfectant as a universal disinfectant, mop floor, wash clothes, wash hands and so on, that is the wrong way. Peroxyacetic acid, 84 disinfectant, are more corrosive, mainly used in the ground, walls, doors and Windows. 

Disinfection should be selected according to different objects: 

1. Air disinfection: peroxyacetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine dioxide; 

2. Disinfection of surfaces: furniture, toys, telephones, doorknobs, floors, sanitary ware, etc., using disinfectants containing chlorine or bromine; 

3. Disinfection of hands and skin: alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, wash must.
