Sodium dichloroisocyanurate

Physical and chemical properties White crystalline powder with a strong chlorine odor, containing 60% to 64.5% of available chlorine. Stable, stored in hot and humid areas, the effective chlorine content decreased by only about 1%. Soluble in water, solubility is 25% (25 ° C). The solution is weakly acidic, and the pH of the 1% aqueous solution is 5.8-6.0, the concentration is increased, and the pH change is small. Dissolved in water to produce hypochlorous acid with a hydrolysis constant of 1×10-4, which is higher than chloramine T. The stability of the aqueous solution is poor, and the loss of effective chlorine is accelerated under the action of ultraviolet rays. Lower concentrations can quickly kill a variety of bacterial propagules, fungi, viruses, and have special effects on hepatitis virus. It has the characteristics of high chlorine content, strong bactericidal effect, simple process and low price. Sodium dichloroisocyanurate is less toxic and has better bactericidal action than bleaching powder and chloramine-T. The metal reducing agent or the acid synergist is mixed with the potassium permanganate and the dry powder of sodium dichloroisocyanurate to prepare a chlorine fuming agent or an acid chlorine fuming agent. Such smoky agents produce a highly bactericidal gas upon ignition.

Chlorine-containing disinfectant Sodium dichloroisocyanurate and bleaching powder, tri- or di-sodium hypochlorite are several chlorine-containing disinfectants commonly used in China. The disinfecting ability of chlorine-containing disinfectants mainly depends on the content of available chlorine contained in them. The higher the chlorine content, the stronger the disinfection ability. The chlorine-containing disinfectant is dissolved in water to form hypochlorous acid, which produces a bactericidal effect. The amount of hypochlorous acid formed by the bleaching powder and the triplet in the solution is related to pH. The lower the pH, the more hypochlorous acid is formed. Sodium dichloroisocyanurate has a higher hydrolysis constant and is more bactericidal than most other chloramine disinfectants. Compared with hypochlorite disinfectants, sodium dichloroisocyanurate is slower at low concentrations; at high concentrations, the bactericidal effect is sometimes better than hypochlorous acid because its solution can remain weakly acidic. Salt. The above chlorine-containing disinfectant has a wide spectrum of sterilization and has a killing effect on bacterial propagules, viruses, fungal spores and bacterial spores.

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate, also known as chlorhexidine, is one of the chlorinated isocyanuric acid disinfectants, and similar varieties are chlorobromoisocyanate, trichloroisocyanuric acid, dichloroisocyanuric acid, dichloroisocyanuric acid. Potassium and so on. This product and other chlorinated isocyanuric acid disinfectants have a wide spectrum of sterilization, and have strong killing effects on bacterial propagules, viruses, fungal spores and bacterial spores. It has a strong killing effect on various bacteria (such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.), viruses (such as hepatitis virus), bacterial spores (such as Bacillus subtilis var. spores) and fungi. Under the effect of effective concentration, it can kill more than 99.9% of E. coli in 30 minutes, kill all bacterial spores in 5 to 30 minutes, and kill all hepatitis viruses in 5 minutes. This product also has the effect of destroying hepatitis B surface antigen. Sodium dichloroisocyanurate has an enhanced effect in an acidic environment, and the lower the pH, the stronger the effect. This product has good stability and no carcinogenic effect. It can be used for disinfection of processing equipment and tableware, food, vehicles, livestock houses, silkworm rooms, fish ponds, utensils, etc. in water and food factories.

Chemical properties White powder Soluble in water

Use as industrial water fungicide, drinking water disinfectant, swimming pool disinfectant, fabric finishing agent, etc.

Use As a disinfectant, it can be used in swimming pools, drinking water disinfection, preventive disinfection and environmental disinfection in various places. Can be used for sericulture, livestock, poultry, fish breeding and disinfection. It can also be used for wool shrink-proof finishing, textile industry bleaching, industrial circulating water algae removal, rubber chlorinating agent. This product is highly efficient and stable, and has no adverse effects on the human body.

Use GB 2760-96 specifies processing aids for the food industry. It can be used for disinfection of dairy products and water.

Can quickly kill a variety of bacteria, fungi, spores and hepatitis A, hepatitis B virus. Can be widely used in swimming pools, family bathrooms, living utensils, fruits and vegetables and indoor disinfection.

Use It is used for anti-felting finishing of wool, which has the advantages of safe and convenient use and stable storage. It is also used as an efficient and fast cleaning and disinfecting agent, bleaching agent, decolorizing agent and preservative. Basolan DC is potassium dichloroisocyanurate, which can be used for anti-felting finishing of wool in the acidic or weakly alkaline range (pH 4-8). It has a good anti-felting effect in the acidic range; it gives the wool a good feel in the alkaline range, which makes it more lustrous. But it also makes the fabric yellow.

Production method

 1. After heating and reacting with ammonium chloride and urea, acidification, alkali dissolution, chlorine chloride chlorination, and then drying.

2. It is prepared by using isocyanuric acid, sodium hydroxide and chlorine as raw materials.

3. Sodium hydroxide and cyanuric acid were sequentially added to the chlorination kettle at a molar ratio of 2:1. The p H value is 6.5 to 8.5, and the chlorine gas is continuously chlorinated at a temperature of 5 to 10 ° C to obtain dichloroisocyanuric acid, which is neutralized with sodium hydroxide to obtain a sodium salt.

4. Cyanuric acid is reacted with chlorine gas and the like.

Storage method

Sealed in a cool dry environment at 0-6 oC

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. Protect from direct sunlight. The package must be sealed and not exposed to moisture. It should be stored separately from the combustibles, ammonium salts, nitrides, oxidants, alkalis, etc., and should not be mixed. The storage area should be provided with suitable materials to contain spills.
